Expert Land Management Services in Georgia — Your Land, Our Passion
Your land is not just a piece of earth; it is an opportunity waiting to be maximized.
Overview
What is professional land management?
Your property is more than just land — it's your outdoor living space, your investment, and your legacy. At Nature Tamer, we bring over 25 years of hands-on experience to every project, helping homeowners, investors and developers across North Georgia unlock the full potential of their land.
Land management is a full-service health check for your property, from the trees and soil to drainage and hardscape structures.
Did you know? A well-managed property can significantly boost its market value while reducing drainage problems, overgrowth damage and costly tree hazards.
What we do
Land Clearing, Tree Removal & Forestry Mulching
These three services are the core of what "land management" means at Nature Tamer — clearing what is in the way, removing what cannot safely stay, and mulching it back into the land instead of hauling it off.
Land Clearing
Land clearing is usually the first step — a wooded lot for a new build, a fence line buried in privet and vines, or a backyard that has grown well past "overgrown." We remove brush, vines, underbrush and small trees, then grade and prep the ground so it is ready for whatever comes next: a home site, a pasture, or just a yard you can walk through again.
Every job is scoped on-site — how much vegetation, what size trees, how the debris gets handled — so your quote reflects your property, not a generic per-acre number.
Brush, vine and underbrush removal
Small tree and sapling clearing
Fine grading so the ground is ready to build, plant or use
Debris hauled off or mulched on-site, your choice
Tree Removal
Some trees cannot stay — storm-damaged, leaning toward a structure, dead, or simply in the way of a new project. Our certified arborists plan every removal around what is nearby: the house, the fence, the power line, the neighbor’s yard, taking a tree down in sections when the situation calls for it instead of guessing.
Nature Tamer also offers 24 hour emergency tree service, and stump grinding is available on every job so the space is fully usable once the tree is gone.
Hazardous, storm-damaged and dead tree removal
Rigged removals near homes, fences and power lines
Optional stump grinding
24 hour emergency response
Forestry Mulching
Forestry mulching uses a mulching head to grind standing brush, saplings and undergrowth into mulch right where it stands, instead of cutting, piling and hauling debris off-site — or burning it. What is left behind is a protective, nutrient-rich mulch layer instead of bare, eroding dirt.
It is usually the faster, more cost-effective option for larger acreage, cutting trails, opening a fence line, or creating a fire break, with a lot less soil disturbance than clearing with heavy equipment.
Grinds brush and small trees in place — no burn piles
Leaves a protective mulch layer, not bare dirt
Faster and less disruptive on larger acreage
Ideal for trails, fence lines and fire breaks

Local expertise
Land management built for Georgia's climate
Georgia's weather brings real challenges — intense summer heat, heavy spring rainfall, rapidly growing vegetation and occasional storm damage. North Georgia properties need strategies that account for red clay soils, hilly terrain and native tree species.
We've spent decades learning exactly what works in Gwinnett, Walton and Newton County — which grasses thrive in Georgia's heat, how to handle drainage on a sloped lot, and how to build retaining walls that hold up season after season.

Questions
Frequently asked questions about land management
Costs vary based on the size of your property, the services needed, and the current condition of the land. We provide free consultations and custom quotes so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins — there are no hidden fees.
For most residential properties, a combination of weekly or bi-weekly lawn maintenance plus seasonal clean-ups (spring and fall) is ideal. If you have trees to monitor or drainage issues to manage, we will recommend a plan that fits your specific situation.
Both. Whether you need a one-time land clearing job or a year-round maintenance program, we're flexible and happy to work with you based on your needs and budget.
Yes. We prioritize eco-conscious land-use methods that protect natural habitats, improve soil health and minimize environmental impact — sustainable land management is part of who we are, not just a marketing phrase.
We primarily serve Newton, Walton and Gwinnett counties, including the areas surrounding Oxford, Covington, Monroe, Loganville, Lawrenceville and nearby North Georgia communities.
Absolutely. Vacant lots and undeveloped land are some of our most common projects — we clear overgrowth, remove hazardous trees, grade the land, and prepare it for whatever comes next, whether that is building, farming, or simply enjoying the space.
Forestry mulching uses a mulching head to grind standing brush, small trees and undergrowth into mulch right where they stand, instead of cutting, hauling and burning debris. It leaves a protective mulch layer on the ground, causes less soil disturbance, and is often faster and more cost-effective for larger acreage, trails or fire breaks.
